My Area of Practice and Approach
Navigating physical health changes, long-term conditions, or hormonal shifts like perimenopause and menopause can leave you feeling disoriented, anxious, and disconnected from who you used to be. When your health or body changes, it often reshapes your daily life, energy, confidence, and sense of identity. You might find yourself managing on the outside while carrying overwhelm, grief, or uncertainty underneath.
My practice focuses specifically on supporting adults through these health transitions and physical shifts. I provide a dedicated space where you can process what is happening to your body and mind without pressure or judgement.
An Integrative Approach
Because no two experiences of health or physical change are the same, I work as an integrative therapist. This means I do not use a rigid, one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I blend elements from different therapeutic approaches including Person-Centred therapy, Cognitive Behavioural tools, psychodynamic insights, and practical coaching to suit your individual needs:
Person-Centred: Offering a compassionate, safe space to explore your emotions at your own pace.
Cognitive Behavioural (CBT): Helping you notice patterns, quiten anxiety, and build practical daily coping strategies.
Psychodynamic & Identity Work: Exploring how physical changes impact your self-worth, roles, and relationships.
Coaching Skills: Supporting you to set gentle boundaries, protect your energy, and rebuild confidence as you move forward.
